Delivery has become a critical piece of the modern restaurant operating model. NYCHG member Scott Landers (Co-founder, Figure 8 Logistics) invited local logistics experts Alex Blum (CEO, Relay Delivery) and Jesus Taveras and Junior Perez (Co-founders, CaterWheels) along with restaurant operator Melanie Frost (COO, Ess-a-Bagel) to a panel discussing how restaurants can get the most out of the last-mile. The conversation started with a deep dive into each of the panelists’ businesses and how they’ve had to adapt their operations in response to 2020. The panelists then had a lightning round sharing the #1 action every restaurant should take to improve their delivery business. The panel then concluded with a live audience Q&A.
