This August, NYCHG visited Tico’s Tequila Bar at Tijuana Picnic on the Lower East Side. For breakfast, we enjoyed small bites and brunch dishes inspired by Mexico’s rich tradition of street food. The event was co-hosted by NYCHG member Tara Paige, the team at Tijuana Picnic, and Tijuana Picnic’s parent company Golden Age Hospitality. Justin Reinsberg, Golden Age’s Director of Finance, shared insights on growing and staying profitable as a hospitality group in NYC.
You may know Golden Age Hospitality as the operators of some of New York’s hottest food and beverage venues, including the Wythe Hotel, Indochine, The Happiest Hour, and more. You may not know that much of their success comes from their vertically integrated business model, ensuring that every aspect of design, development, and operations is conceptualized and carried out as part of a unified vision. Justin explained that the collaborative approach Golden Age uses promotes creativity and innovation alongside consistent quality.
