For nearly 20 years, Deanna has provided legal and business counsel to individuals and businesses of all sizes in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry. A Partner at the law firm of Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., she started her legal career as a construction and business law litigation attorney, gaining extensive experience in all stages of lawsuits, from pre-trial strategy through trial and appeal. Drawing upon her experience and insights as a litigator, Deanna advises clients on ways to minimize risk and reduce the threat of litigation by taking proactive business steps, such as revising companies’ business contracts and vendor and supply agreements and negotiating construction contracts. As a result, clients often turn to Deanna as their general “outside counsel” to provide guidance and advice on a wide range of legal and business matters. In addition, as Co-Chair of her law firm’s Construction Law Practice Group, Deanna assists clients in all phases of the construction process, from negotiating construction contracts to litigating claims over breach of contract, warranty action, building defect claims and mechanics lien issues. She also works with many clients in the food and beverage industry as they seek to expand their business to new locations or renovate their existing space, assisting to make the process as smooth as possible and minimize litigation risks. Deanna also has significant experience in business “divorces” and works with owners of businesses to disentangle their interests when necessary. She works with her clients to attempt to resolve matters amicably through mediation when that approach fits the client’s goals and objectives. But if an amicable resolution can’t be reached, Deanna aggressively and efficiently develops and pursues litigation to advance her clients’ interests. Bar/Court Admissions
