Mitch is the owner/operator of Initiate Care, working on safety programs for hospitality partners in 10 states.
Initiate Care is a hospitality consulting company focused on assisting restaurants and hotels in the fields of: customized safety programs and first-aid materials. Proactive hospitality safety training programs are the first of their kind focusing on an integration of real world hospitality scenarios and nationally recognized first-aid curriculums.
Mitch Cynamon has been a CPR/First-aid instructor for basic through advanced levels of training for more than 16 years, working with the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and the Health and Safety Institute. In the early part of his career, while training to become an EMT, he started working with Union Square Hospitality Group where he was an operations manager for Eleven Madison Park and assisted in the opening of The Shake Shack's inaugural season. Over the next 12 years, he worked in both the BOH, FOH and as an Operations/Purchasing manager for Union Square Hospitality Group, Craft Restaurants, Culinary Concepts by Jean-Georges and Andre Balazs Properties. In 2014 he became the Director of Risk Management for an independent broker, primarily focusing on workplace safety for the hospitality industry. Mitch has been the owner/operator of Initiate Care since 2006, working on safety programs for hospitality partners in 10 states.
